5 Series based on website-novel, but I like the series version more than the original novel.
The first part you can read here it’s about Yang Zi Series.
Actually, I fell in love with Zhao Liying from her project series, the Princess Agent. But I haven’t read the novel version at all, even though I’ve looked everywhere. But the two series that I will write are no less interesting for me to review in detail.

Acting Cast : 10/10
[+]I thought Zhao Liying’s personality was that cheerful, until I finally found out more about this actress, it turned out that she was originally a quiet person. Really, her acting is amazing.

My Opinion!
Boss and Me is arguably a light drama with the theme of the rich and the poor, but it’s made very well. Given that even though the theme of the story is really cliché, we are given a different flavor.
The novel is very light, even the two main characters have no third person problems at all (as far as I remember), in series they made a new scene and that’s one of my favorite. The scene is ep 23 where Shan Shan is sick and after breaking up with Feng Teng. Apart from no kissing scene or intimate scenes. How Feng Teng took care of Shan Shan while in the hospital made the hearts of those watching were touched.
The second female character in the original novel didn’t actually have many scenes, but was made to appear more frequently in the series. The funny is i didn’t really bother at all. Yes, she likes the male lead. Yes, she accidentally made the main character break up. But I still don’t hate her at all. At first she was annoying but over time I accepted her character. Liking someone doesn’t have to becoming a very nasty antagonist.
In the series, their relationship process looks more reasonable, the problems they get. From Shan Shan who is not confident in her status and Feng Teng who feels angry because he is being treated as a mistress because his girlfriend doesn’t acknowledge him.

[+] The acting of all the casts is very good. I found myself very sympathetic to Gu Ting Ye, regarding Ming Lan’s treatment of him. William Feng is very good at portraying a husband who wants to be treated intimately by his wife and not just as a ‘devoted wife-to-husband relation

[+] Considering that this is a historical, political genre series. I didn’t really pay attention to the songs in this series. But the backsound used fits perfectly with all the scenes in the series.

My Opinion!
After reading the novel, the series is made more concise with a one-way plot. In the series, Gu Ting Ye’s son is declared dead without meeting Minglan or Gu Ting Ye, while in the novel, Minglan still has one chance to meet him.
Likewise with Gu Ting Ye’s daughter, in the series she is made to have a positive character who is optimistic and smart. In the novel, the girl is described as very gloomy, it even takes Minglan to give birth to two boys first (well, in the novel they have two children) for the girl to accept Minglan well.
This is the first time I’ve come across a story character where in the novel the bad guy is made too caricature like a soap opera, while in the series it looks more human (grey area)
To be honest I like studying scheming and cunning characters the most, because if I can think like that, at least whatever happens. Whatever situation i get, i can think quickly to get out of the problem. One of amazing scene is, I loved how Gu Ting Ye had to resort to twisted tactics in order to successfully propose to Ming Lan.
I love how Ming Lan always uses her wits first to process what’s going on around her. I love the way Ming Lan, Gu Ting ye and Ming Lan grandmother think.
Ah, watching this really made me learn a lot about husband and wife relationships in marriage.
Really, the script writer is very good at executing this novel.
